W. H. Carlin vs. Geo. W. Long dismissed.
James Metz against John Rosa Dismissed.
S. A. White against Jason Geeding dismissed.
F. B. Hadley vs. Jesse Foval, appeal, dismissed.
Geo. A Garner vs. Geo. B. Child, suit dismissed.
$5,000 is not a circumstance to a woman’s affection.
Havana Press Drill Co. against S. A. White dismissed.
Attorney J. L. Dyer, of Pike, was down Monday and Tuesday.
The jurymen are allowed $2 per day and 5 cents per mile each way.
Mrs. Otilla Brands walked out of court divorced from her husband, E. W. Brands.
The grand jury is not yet dismissed and is not likely to be for a day or two.
George W. Long was appointed foreman of the grand jury and A. B. Lowe, clerk.
Calhoun County vs. M. Telcamp et. Al, judgment for defendants in the sum $98.

There are 39 chancery, 29 common law and 7 criminal cases on the docket for trial.
Attorney B. F. Slaten, of Elsah, was in attendance for the first time in several years.
The indictment against Charles E. Rose was nolie prossed by motion of State’s attorney.
The grand jury has returned a flood of indictments, the nature of which we have not learned.
The juries were called and organized ready to transact business before eleven o’clock Monday.
The Garner divorce case was dismissed. The treasure has been Garnered in Jewhitticans.
Atty. Ward is not much on chess, but is a thoroughbred on scrimmaging around in the evenings.
Attorney J. S. Carr quotes poetry very elegantly, but is some what personal in his remarks when making an argument.

Calhoun county vs. John F. Nolte the damages to real estate for public road. Judgment of defendant in the sum of $70.
Constable David Burns of Gilead, had charge of the grand jury, and deputy sheriff Churchman looked after the needs of the court.
Those hearing the instructions read to the jury in the case of the people vs. David Smith, et. al, knew the verdict would be without waiting to her further.

There is a question among some of our citizens whether Billy Brown or George W. Herdman is the court. From our knowledge of court rulings, we cannot decide it.

There have been more compromises than decisions in this court so far. It would have been well had the compromises been made before entering court.
