Edward J. Booth, 55, of Jerseyville died Apr. 11 at Greenwood Manor nursing home. Visitation and services were held at Jacoby brothers Funeral home in Jerseyville. Rev David McGuire. Burial will be in Oak Grove cemetery.
He was born on November 10, 1926, in Kampsville, a son of William H. and Freda (Mielke) Booth.
His survivors include his wife, Marjorie (Scoggins) Booth whom he married May 12, 1962, in Kampsville; 1 son, Morris, at home; 3 daughter, Carolyn Short of Jerseyville, Eliazbeth and Tina Kay, both at home; 1 brother, Vincent of Jerseyville; 3 sisters, Betsy Haneline of Alton, Mary Lou Johnson of Chester and Catherine Gill of Kane; his mother, Freda Booth and maternal grandmother, Anna Marie Barnes, all of Jerseyville.
He was preceded in death by his father, 1 sister, Nancy and 1 brother, Bobby Joe. Memorials may be given to the Nazerene building fund.
