Charles Roy Clendenny, son of James W. and Jane Kitson Clendenny, was born April 3rd, 1882, and departed this life Dec. 4th, 1965, having attained the age of 83 years, 8 months and one day.
In early life he assisted parents with the usual farm work of pioneer days and received his education in the Fox Creek District School. After growing to manhood, Mr.Clendenny was united in marriage to Miss Elsie Cress, May 31, 1913. To this union five children were born, namely: Mrs. Fay Gray and Mrs. Florence Clements of Wood River, Mrs Thelma Puterbaugh, Hamburg, Mrs Estalene Fesler, New Canton, and Larry at Nebo.
He also leaves to mourn his departure his wife, 15 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and one brother Logan, with a host of other relatives and friends; great grandchildren and --?, Logan, with a host of other relatives and friends.
In his passing, a kind father, esteemed citizen and devoted husband will be missed by all. Service were held at Bay Christian Church by Rev. Anderson of Hamburg, with burial at Summit Grove Cemetery.
