In memory of Lulu Clendenny, who died at her home two miles south of Belleview, after an illness of two weeks of typhoid fever.
Lula was a kind and obedient daughter, of Branch and Eliza Clendenny, and was a faithful worker of Christ. All was done that could he, by helping friends and physicians, but all was in vain, and at the last hour of the day on March 20th 1902, she closed her eyes in death to sleep in her peaceful grave until the morning of the resurrection.
The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Burns at the Fox Creek school house and the remains were laid to rest in the Ox Creek cemetery in the presence of a large crowd of relatives and friends.
The deceased was 22 years and 7 months old and she leaves a father, mother, two brothers and one sister to mourn her loss.
