Services for Herbert E. Madison, 80, 407 E. Prairie, Jerseyville, were conducted at Jacoby Brothers Funeral home by the Rev. David McGuire with burial in Hardin cemetery.
He died at 9:05 a.m. December 7 at his residence.
The self-employed carpenter was born June 13, 1904 in Calhoun County, son of the late John and Mary Margaret Droege Madison, and married Margie Taylor.
His survivors are two daughters, Barbara Shipp of Cahokia and Jackline Shaw of Arlington, Texas; sisters, Clara Cox of Alton and Mary Plummer of Hardin; and four grandchildren.
