Ruby Ellen Plummer, 89, of 419 E. Exchange St., Jerseyville, the last of the 10 children of George and Praziddie Edwards Kress, died at 11:15 pm 16 December at St. Anthony's hospital in Alton.
She was born 8 April, 1890 in Calhoun County.
On 19 November 1912, she married Carl Plummer and he died 26 March of this year.
She is survived by one son, Carl C. Plummer, Jr. Jerseyville; two daughters, Violet Bartlett of Brighton and Dorothy Bartlett of Jerseyville; nine grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 pm Tuesday, 18 December at Jacoby Brothers Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Wednesday, 19 December at the Funeral Home, Rev. M. Edwards Breed officiating. Burial will be at Oak Grove cemetery. The First Presbyterian church in Jerseyville has been named as a memorial.
