Grafton - Funeral rites for Henry Presley, 73, were held Tuesday afternoon, 25 November at 2 o'clock in the Assembly of God church with the Rev. Melvin McClain of Jerseyville officiating. Interment was in Meadow Branch cemetery. The pallbearers were nephews of the deceased and were Ferman, George, Tudor, Jack, Bruce and Frank Presley of Hardin.
Mr. Presley, a native of Calhoun County, died suddenly at the Memorial hospital in Alton, Friday, 21 November at 9:20 a.m., where he had been a patient since Thursday.
He is survived by three sons, Arthur and Hubert of Grafton and Pvt. Marion Presley of Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri; three daughters, Mrs. Clara Ennis and Mrs. Lula Lester of Grafton and Mrs. Linda Blasa of Fieldon; two brothers, Samuel of Hardin and George of Otterville; one half brother and one half sister, William Swan and Anna Neikirk of Jerseyville, and thirteen grandchildren.
