Funeral services were held in Kampsville for Harry J.Vetter, 23, who was pronounced dead on arrival at the Calhoun Medical center in Hardin following a car accident at 12:30 am, Tuesday, about 1 1/4 miles west of Route 100 near the Joe Sevier home.
Dennis R. Hull, 26 of Kampsville, who was seriously injured, was taken to Alton. According to state police report the car went out of control on a curve, overturned and burned, both occupants were thrown from the vehicle.
He was born in Carrollton on December 24, 1949, the son of Bernard H. and Evelyn (Becker) Vetter. A veteran of Vietnam, Mr.Vetter was employed by Rose Barge Lines.
Surviving are his parents; 4 brothers, all of Kampsville; and 6 sisters, including Mrs. Fred Gilman of Fieldon.
