ARNOLD, Fred W., born 18-04-1906, Calhoun County, Illinois, died 17-07-1959, buried 20-07-1959, St. Mary s Cemetery. Funeral services were held at St. Patrick's Church in Grafton Monday morning, July 20, at nine o'clock for Fred W. Arnold of Grafton whose death occurred Friday, July 17, at 11:45 a.m., in an Alton Hospital. Requiem Mass was celebrated by Father Michael Sheehy and interment was in St. Mary's Cemetery at Brussels. Prior to the final rites friends called at Jacoby Brothers funeral Home in Jerseyville.
Mr. Arnold was a retired acid foreman at the Illinois Powder Company. He was a son of the late Lawrence J., and Johanna Frey Arnold and was born April 18, 1906, in Calhoun county. His age at the time of death was fifty-three years, two months and twenty-nine days.
Surviving the decedent are five sisters, Mrs. Andrew Robeen of Hardin, Mrs. Albert Keehner of New Haven, Mo., Mrs. Vern Osborne of Golden Eagle, Mrs. Edith Plummer of Grafton and Mrs. Robert Redd of Alton, and three brothers......
