Homer L. Booth, Sr., 89, formerly of Greene County, died Sept. 27, 1988, at Jersey Community hospital.
Born in Calhoun county, he was the son of the late John & Louisa (Bruns) Booth.
On Dec. 21, 1918, he married Florence (Blatstone) Booth in Elsberry, MO. She died Dec. ?2, 1985.
Surviving are 1 daughter, Bertha Funk of Jerseyville; 2 sons, Harold Booth of Wood River and Homer Booth Jr., Eldred; 23 grandchildren; 36 g-grandchildren; 6 g-great grandchildren and 2 sisters, Mandy Freesemeyer of Waverly and Sophia Jones of Nebo.
He was preceded in death by 2 sons, Gerald and Lowell Booth; 2 brother, Roscoe and Chester Booth; and 1 sister Lester Goewey.
Visitation and services ere held at Airsman-Hires funeral home, Carrollton. Rev Bill Baughman officiated, burial in Memorial Gardens cemetery, Eldred.
