William P. Booth, 88, of Dow died Oct. 20, 1977 at Jersey Community hospital. Services and visitation were held at Jacoby Brothers Funeral home in Jerseyville. Burial was in Newbern cemetery.
A retired farmer, he was born July 7, 1889, in Calhoun county, a son of Curtis W. and Nancy (Howland) Booth.
His wife Bessie (Emerick) Booth and 2 sons preceded him in death.
Survivors are 7 sons, Harison and Oscar of Virginia, Lowden of Lomita, CA, Curtis, Delhi, Luther, Torrence, CA, Jerry, Dow, Gary, Godfrey and 1 daughter, Mrs. Albert (Tillie) lane of Grafton; 38 grandchildren and great grandchildren. 2 brothers, Arthur of St. Louis and Beet of Nebo; 5 sisters, Mrs. Loraine Miller, St. Louis, Mrs. Ivy Wilkerson, Alton, Mrs. Rhoda Lammy, Jerseyville, Mrs. Arella Gordon, Hardin and Mrs. Clara Crader, Hamburg.
