Otis F. "Bill" Clendenny, 88, of Reish Memorial Nursing Home, formerly of Mozier, Ill., died Sunday, April 10, 1988, at 10 p.m. at Reisch Memorial Nursing Home, Carrollton. He was born May 9, 1899, in Mozier, son of Cory and Ceclia (Pontero) Clendenny.
On January 21, 1919 in Hardin he married Blanche E. Burge. She preceded him in death December 28, 1975.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Betty Swearingin of Cottage Hills and Mrs. Joann Tepen of Carrollton; one son, Robert Clendenny of Pleasant Hill; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Merle Clendenny of Pleasant Hill and Leo "Sam" Clendenny of Hamburg; two sisters, Mrs. Geneva Schleeper and Mrs. Cecelia Ottwell of Hardin.
Visitation was held Tuesday evening at Ward Lummis Funeral Home in Pleasant Hill. Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, April 13, 1988, at the funeral home with Brother Wayne Ward officiating. Burial was in Fox Creek Cemetery near Mozier.
He was preceded in death by two sons, one daughter, three brothers and two sisters.
