Howard Deverger, Sr., 79 years, 11 months, 25 days, died September 17, at Jersey Community hospital. Mr Deverger was a retired farmer.
He was born September 22, 1894 in Calhoun County the son of the late Frederick & Eva (Ingle) Deverger.
Surviving are his wife, Daisy (Gray) Deverger, 2 sons, Howard Jr., and Judson Deverger of Fieldon; 1 daughter, Mrs. Eva Tucker of Avondale, CO; 9 grandchildren; 5 g-grandchildren; 5 sisters, Mrs. Opal Davis, Mrs. Pearl Keith, and Mrs. Emma Monroe, all of California, Mrs. Ed (Rose) Dinga of AZ and Mrs. Mildred Lee of Miss.
He was preceded in death by 2 sons, 1 grandsons and 3 sisters.
Visitation and services were held at Jacoby Brothers Funeral Home in Jerseyville. Rev. James O. Jarrell officiated (sept 20) and burial was in Valhalla Memorial Park, Godfrey. Masonic rites were held.
