Mary Alice Kurten, 85, died at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, 22 November 1989, at Calhoun Care Center, Hardin.
Born in Grafton, she was the daughter of the late John and Viola (Miller) Watson.
She married Lawrence Kurten in 1944 in Grafton. He died on 19 September 1967.
Surviving are a son, Frederick Niemeyer of Fieldon; five grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and a brother, Arthur L. Watson of Grafton.
Preceding her in death were three brothers and a sister.
Visitation is from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Jacoby Brothers Funeral Home in Jerseyville, with a rosary recitation at 7 p.m. a funeral mass is at 9:30 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick's Catholic church in Grafton with the Rev. Patrick Carroll as celebrant. Burial is in Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.
