Funeral mass for Mrs. Catherine Narup, 82, of Fieldon was celebrated at 10 am May 10 at St. Mary's church, Westwoods, with Father William Hembrow celebrant. Burial was in the church cemetery. Her death occurred at 6:53 am May 8 at St. Joseph's hospital in Alton.
She was born in Calhoun County April 2, 1896 a daughter of Frank and Annie Kamp Mossman.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Narup; two sons, Leonard Narup of Alton and Jerome Narup of Kane; seven daughters, Mrs. Gordon (Vernetia) Gullicksrud and Mrs. Laverne (Vera) Dunham of East Alton; Mrs. James (Irene) Erwin and Mrs. Alfred (Loretta) Linenfelser of Jerseyville; Mrs. Jerome (Deloris) Becker of Fulton, Mrs. Fred (Norma) Glassbrenner of Plainview and Mrs. Rosalie East of Tallahassee, Florida. Two brothers, Carl Mossman of Jerseyville and Clarence Mossman of Godfrey; and two sisters, Mrs. Marie Kiel of Jerseyville and Mrs. Clara Narup of Alton.
The rosary was recited at Jacoby Funeral Home Tuesday evening.
