O'LAUGHLIN. 10 August 1972.
Word has been received in Jerseyville of the death of James O'Laughlin, 62, a former resident of this city, which occurred Sunday at his home in Miami, Florida. He had been ill the past year. Funeral services and burial were in Miami.
Mr. O'Laughlin, a son of Mrs. John (Bridget) O'Laughlin of Jerseyville and the late Mr. O'Laughlin, was born in Springfield. The family later moved to Jerseyville where he was educated in the local schools.
While a resident here, Mr. O'Laughlin had worked as a printer for the Jersey County News and in Calhoun County. Upon completion of military service during World War II, the Jerseyville man located in Miami where he resumed his printing career.
In addition to his mother, Mr. O'Laughlin is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lillian Rogers O'Laughlin of Miami, and one brother, John Francis O'Laughlin of San Francisco, California.
