Obituary - Marion Quiller

Marion R. "Manny" Quiller, 80, of Hamburg, died Friday, Sept. 10, 2010, at his home in Hamburg.

He was owner and operator of Quiller's Outboard and Kawasaki Sales in Hamburg for over 55 years. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Kampsville and sponsor of Ducks Unlimited.

Born Feb. 2, 1930, in Hamburg, he was the son of the late Ray and Elsie (Long) Quiller. He married Carmita M. Merida, May 14, 1949, in Pittsfield and she survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Tern J. (Bob) Lorsbach of Hardin and Jill A. (Jay) Moss of Carrollton; a sister, Dalene (Bill) Clendenny of Grafton; five grandchildren, Tim Roth, Elizabeth Roth, Jaela Hagen, Laura Longnecker and Lindsey Perdun; six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, David Quiller; a son-in-law, Tom Roth.

Visitation was held Tuesday at Hanks-Gress Funeral Home in Hardin.
The funeral was conducted Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2010 at St. John Lutheran Church in Kampsville with Rev. R. Ankney officiating. Burial was in Summit Grove Cemetery in Kampsville. Memorials may be made to St. John Lutheran Church or the Calhoun Ambulance Service.
