TELKAMP. Died 09-1970.
Benjamin Henry Telkamp of Rural Route 1, Grafton, died at 7 am Sunday at Jersey Community hospital where he had been a patient for 2 days.
Funeral services were held at St. Patrick church in Grafton at 10 am Wednesday. Requiem mass was celebrated by Father Patrick Morrow, and burial was in Scenic Hill Cemetery. Visitation hours were at Jacoby Brothers Funeral Home in Jerseyville, where the rosary was recited Tuesday evening.
Mr. Telkamp, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Telkamp, was born in Calhoun County, and his age at time of death was 86 years, 4 months, and 17 days. Mr. Telkamp was a farmer.
Survivors are: 2 sons, Raymond Herman Telkamp of Rural Route 1 Jerseyville, and Edward Henry Telkamp of East Alton; 3 daughters, Mrs. Helen Walkoff and Mrs. Gertrude Rowling of Grafton, and Mrs. Edith Pegue of Fieldon; 10 grandchildren; 3 g-grandchildren; 1 brother, John Telkamp of Grafton and 1 sister, Gertrude Telkamp of St. Louis.
