Herbert U Watson, 82, formerly of Calhoun County, died May 16, 1986 at
his home. Born in Calhoun County, a son of the late Stephen & Molly
(Trowbridge) Watson, he was a retired produce salesman. In 1956, he married
Nellie (Parker) Watson, she survives. Also surviving are 1 son, Herbie of
Jerseyville; 2 grandchildren; and 3 sisters, Odessa Plummer, Kane, Maxine
Griffin, Decatur and Peggy Watson of Webster Groves, Missouri. Services were
from Hanks Funeral Home in Hardin. Rev Simon A Simon officiated and burial
was in Hardin City Cemetery.

Herbert Uda Watson, 82, of Jerseyville, formerly of Calhoun County, died May 16 at his residence. He was born March 6, 1904, to the late Stephen & Molly (Trowbridge) Watson. He married Nellie Parker in1956. He was a self employed produce salesman. Surviving are his wife; 1 son Herbie Watson, Jerseyville; 3 sisters, Odessa Plummer, Kane, Maxine Griffin of Decatur and Peggy Watson of Webster Groves, Mo; and 2 grandchildren. Services were held May 19 at Hanks Funeral Home in Hardin with Rev Simon A Simon officiating. Burial was in Hardin Cemetery.
